We carefully guide each part through preparation, coating, testing, packaging, and shipping. Our expert technicians work closely with each customer, utilizing our leading coatings technologies and eco-sensitive, quality-driven processes.
In addition to our finishing services, we also offer metal spinning, machining, metal cutting, welding, and fabrication.
Elemet Group has a broad, advanced collection of automated metalworking equipment supported by the latest software. Our contract manufacturing atmosphere allows us to handle prototypes and production at any volume effectively.
Powder coating is a unique type of coating that uses electrostatics to apply a powder to metals. It’s a high-quality, UV ray-resistant method that creates a glossy finish and works on nearly all types of metal.
At Minnesota Industrial Coatings, our average turnaround time is five business days. Yes, that fast! That’s because we prioritize our customers, and we know that you need jobs done efficiently to work around your busy schedules.
Factors that may add extra time include:
However, we will do our best to stick to our usual turnaround window.
One of the best qualities of a powder coat is its longevity. This is partly due to the pretreatment we use at Minnesota Industrial Coating, where we chemically or abrasively clean the metals so that extra debris or old paint layers do not get in the way of creating a smooth sealed layer across your part. Because of its durability, powder coating has been known to last for up to 15-20 years.
E-coating is a highly innovative process that uses an electrical current to bind wet paint particles to a metal surface. This process occurs when an object is plunged into a water-based solution or what’s referred to as a bath. This bath usually contains 80% deionized water and 20% paint resin solids.
You can choose different coverage thicknesses, and the electric current is altered accordingly. When the part comes out of the bath, the extra residue is rinsed off and returned to the e-coating tank, reducing waste and saving money. As with powder paint, the part is then cured to harden the paint.
