On May 1st, Glenn Metalcraft was awarded the Minnesota Governor’s Silver Workplace Safety Award. Every year, the Minnesota Safety Council recognize and celebrate employers throughout the State of Minnesota for safety and health excellence in protecting our workforce from injuries, illnesses, and incidents through the Minnesota Governor’s Workplace Safety Achievement Awards program. The Silver Award is for businesses that achieved an incidence rate better than the 50th percentile of both the state and national average.
As stated by Christine, “I am very proud to announce our most recent safety achievement. This award is a cumulation of hard work by every team member. Without the amazing team that we have, this award would not have been possible.” At Elemet Group, safety is critical in maintaining the high quality of work that we produce. Our goal is to be the safest metal fabrication company in the country!
As an organization we hold monthly toolbox talk meetings where we discuss a safety topic and how to avoid injury, illness, or an incident. We also review safety during our quarterly meetings. Here the importance of safety is communicated, we want to ensure our employees take safety into consideration while working. All of the toolbox talks can also be applied outside of the workplace as well.
Our safety committee is made up of employee’s from each location within Elemet Group. Being apart of the safety committee is to ensure all safety protocols are being followed, employees are performing their jobs safely, and implementing more safety.
